I don't think Sam and I would be here today without the help and expertise of Cactus K9s. From not so sure I could keep and definitely could not rehome Sam to owning her confidently, being able to own a second dog and bring her out in public, we owe it all to Cactus K9s.

People don't believe me when I say she has a bite history now, idk how you did it but YOU DID IT.

Honestly Cactus K9s is the only place I recommend. They are incredibly communicative. About EVERYTHING. They will be 100% transparent with you from the beginning to the end. My dog is still in training and THRIVING.

By the age of 1, I knew our Mini Aussie was going to hurt someone one day. It was only a matter of time. Rose was terrified of people and dogs. Her reaction was to lunge and snap. Every. Sigle. Time. I had hired a "trainer" to come to my home to work with her 3 mornings a week. That "trainer" - did nothing but create a food aggression issue in an already anxious and reactive dog. That training was all food-based with no re-direction. That "trainer" told me after 1 month that my puppy was aggressive and should not be around people or dogs. I was heart broken and felt like a massive failure. I had seen a page on FB for Cactus K9 and I had followed it due to the cute dogs that were always portrayed and how well they behaved. I began to wonder what an actual "Board and Train" would look like and would there be any possibility that such a place would take a case like Rose. Rose was so sweet and mild at home with us but the moment a stranger was introduced - she would show teeth and snap. So, I was not sure any B/T would be willing to try. But as I continued to watch this FB page - I would watch these dogs go from being aggressive and anti-social to walking nicely on leashes along side other dogs! And these were HUGE scary looking dogs! It took a lot of convincing for my husband to even entertain the idea, but we reached out and asked about a thousand questions. They were extremely transparent from the very beginning. This would be WORK. This would be HARD. This would be emotionally challenging. But the outcome would be worth it we just had to trust the process. I was not convinced and wanted to visit the business and meet these people who wanted to keep my dog for 6 weeks straight. We visited - and they listened. They heard me and let me cry. They told me I was not a bad dog mom and explained the processes and patiently answered another thousand questions. They showed me they loved dogs and that they KNEW dogs. It wasn't fancy but it was REAL. We went "all in" and a few weeks later delivered our sweet baby Rose to them. It was the HARDEST thing to do knowing I wouldn't see her for 3 weeks. But Rose was worth it! Rose went on a hunger strike for about 5 days. She wouldn't come out of her kennel. She growled - snapped - showed her teeth - lunged - and she bit! BOY DID SHE BITE! She was the most confident biter ever! And each day - I would receive photos and encouragement. Each day there were small victories such as "She is a Rockstar she let me put her collar on!" " She actually ate today!" "We went all day without biting!" With every photo I saw the fear fading from Rose's eyes. I saw her sweet personality peeking through. After 3 weeks - we visited, and Rose was starting to change into a different dog. Another 3 weeks with full family training sessions and we LEARNED how to speak Rose's love language. We had to be trained as well - our fears would only fuel the fire in Rose. We had to learn to trust her and show her that trust. We did a lot of behavior modification, group walks with numerous other dogs, commands and leash training. Without Cactus K9, we would have most likely been sued by now. Rose would never be able to be around people or go on walks in public. But thanks to Cactus K9s- I can have a house full of people over for Thanksgiving and Rose is completely unbothered. I can allow a child to give Rose a treat and she eats it nicely. I can take Rose to Home Depot to sniff around or to the vet with zero issues. I have a happy and confident dog that is loving life! Most importantly, we have gained FAMILY with Cactus K9. They love Rose as much as we do - we cannot thank them enough for everything they have done for us and for Rose!

If you think your dog is a lost cause go to Cactus K9s because they're going to do the damn thing each and every time. My dog was set to be euthanized in January after medication did not work. She's a huge bite risk and is easily set off. After a 6 week board and train she goes to school pick up, the mall, strangers can come over and I feel like the old her never even existed. I can't believe she is the same dog. I'm forever in debt to Cactus K9s because they saved my dog's life. I will not trust anyone else with any future dogs I get since I can now own other dogs as my dog is no longer dog aggressive.

Loki just finished a 4 week board and train. He left insecure and outspoken, he truly ran our house. Loki can now travel, be handled by anyone, minds his own in the kennel and I even learned how to handle this beautiful working breed. I would highly recommend Cactus K9s, but be prepared because they hold the owner accountable as well and turn you into a handler, this isn't just for the dog it's a family affair.
Loki's very happy dad

After hanging up the phone from scheduling my dog's euthanasia appointment I stumbled across this page. At this point my very medicated dog had nothing to lose. I inquired and asked about 50,000 questions...every single one answered with reassurance and honesty. A few weeks went by and I dropped my dog off, telling them I didn't believe this would work but it was worth a try. I came back a few weeks later and my dog didn't have his muzzle on, I was nervous but trusting of this very proving situation. He was able to be walked, he learned how to be touched on his paws and his ears and his tail. He ran into the crate when I said kennel, he WANTED to walk for me, people could walk by us. I drove home crying, they really saved my dog.

Cactus K9s put the perfect foundation on my puppy to go become a sport dog. Forever thankful.
